The Benefits of Living at Abbeyfield Uxbridge
" When I open
the front door I have it all: good friends to share a meal with, a room to call my own and the wonderful feeling that
this, at last, is home."
All rooms are unfurnished and feature
a kitchenette facility, suitable for making light snacks and drinks, plus en-suite bathrooms with walk in showers.
Communal areas include a dining room (for lunch and evening meals), TV lounge area, very spacious garden room (used daily
for coffee mornings), an activities room with a large screen for movies, and a computer room for access to the internet and
email.
Our large garden areas provide patios with seating and pathways around the garden for your
morning stroll.
We have our own hairdressing salon staffed by a visiting hairdresser. We also have regular visits
from a chiropodist and an adviser from Age UK to ensure any extra help that you may need is on hand.
Activities are determined by the residents,
with outings and trips to the local theatre planned throughout the year.
Every week our residents have the opportunity to be involved in a
variety of stimulating and sociable activities, which include:
Armchair Exercises
Monthly trips to the local Theatre
Daily Coffee Mornings
with quiz mornings at weekends
Opportunities to join our
local Community Centre for activities
Weekly Bingo led by
the residents
